世界上最小書 半片指甲大

The so-called “World’s Smallest Book” was the creation of retired civil service worker, Taiwanese miniature sculptor Chen Fen-hsien, and is smaller than half a nail. This newly created miniature “Little Prince” measures 0.2 cm long and 0.25 cm wide, has Chinese and English versions, each with 16 pages, and a color cover and illustrations inside. It took three months to complete the world’s smallest book, and it has all the features of a book despite its size. Everything in it is handmade and Chen Feng-hsien completed it with a high-powered magnifying glass, brush, and ink. Chen Feng-hsien who worked in the Central Engraving and Printing Plant is skilled in making engravings for banknotes. To commemorate his retirement, he even made a fine and smooth jade teapot and a gold teapot, and broke the record for the world's smallest "gold teapot."

號稱「世界上最小的書」，是由即將從公職退休的台灣毫芒雕刻家陳逢顯所創作，竟然不到半片指甲的大小。這部最新創作是微型書「小王子」，尺寸只有長0.2公分，寬0.25公分，有中英兩種版本，每本16頁，還有彩色封面及內頁插畫。這部世界最小的書製作耗時三個月，書本雖小，五臟俱全，裡面的內容全為純手工製作，由陳逢顯以高倍放大鏡，毛筆及墨水完成。在中央印製廠工作的陳逢顯精通紙鈔的印製版雕刻，為了紀念退休，他還製作了精細光潤的翡翠小茶壺及黃金小茶壺等作品，並打破了「黃金茶壺」世界最小的紀錄。
